What is the Welcome Project?
Developed by We\come CIC the project offers and delivers training programmes for schools in London, specifically tailored for their individual needs.
To support schools' and organisations' emotional well-being by making students and their families feel welcomed, heard, and positively belonging to the community.
What has been achieved?
The Welcome Project was first created from a 1-year Pilot in 2016-17.
Currently it has been implemented in 10 different schools across the London Borough of Newham, involving over 800 students, parents, and members of staff.
Welcome adopts a systemic framework for all its activities, challenging the focus on individuals by working in partnership with the schools prioritising an equal, transparent, and ethical practice.
Every year Welcome creates a new catalogue to describe its model and interventions.
